The Problem

Here is our reasonably representative venue. For this experiment we assume that we just want to cover the last venue plane (underlined in red) from a distant array. Although the instances when you may want to achieve this are probably quite rare it allows us to see how well the array manages to focus the energy as line length and frequency vary. All the arrays used are straight so the evenness of coverage could be significantly improved by some splay if this were a real objective.
