Introduction
Having designed an excellent horn and a box
which allows it to operate without diffraction we needed to emulate
the strip type excitation. There are numerous ways to achieve this
and we took the 'simple' approach which until now was deemed too
impractical to manufacture.
Very Closely Spaced Tweeters
By 'very' we mean 21mm ! The
row of 5 tweeters pictured is less than 106mm (4.13 inches) long.
This requires considerable care in manufacture
and design. The magnetic and thermal circuits are specifically designed
for 'pro' use delivering surprisingly loud results from the tiny
dimensions.
