There are many well established
ways to 'coaxially' arrange HF and LF sections in a line array box,
however, from our experience this often means compromising the HF
horn or midrange output unacceptably.
Make the walls move !
The goal of symmetrical well integrated output is a worthy one and
now we have found a way to achieve this without significantly degrading
the performance of either section.
Constricting midrange output through ducts and passageways or behind
bits of wood has consequences. Aside from colouring the midband it
often replaces large areas of carefully defined HF horn wall with
voids and irregular surfaces. Why not just make the optimised horn
walls move a little?
